The Fringe knitwear collection by Peruvian designer Lucy Barandiaran is all about comfort and bold, beautiful designs that pushes forward knitwear to it’s fullest potential in a modern way. We achieve this by using beautiful, sustainable and environmentally friendly yarns along with the fine craftsmanship of Peruvian artisans, always keeping in mind the well being of the environment and our social responsibility to our workers. We are committed to using certified yarns and production processes with a low carbon footprint thereby promoting environmental protection. My commitment to sustainability arises not only from my appreciation for well-crafted, timeless pieces but also from the fulfillment and happiness I experience when working with women who take pride in preserving traditional techniques passed down to them by their mothers and grandmothers. By choosing to support local artisans, I not only honor their skills but also contribute to the preservation of our cultural heritage. Moreover, focusing on timeless designs, that can be cherished and worn for years to come, my intention is to transcend trends and fast fashion, thereby minimizing waste in the fashion industry.
